S10-3T – Movie Playback Stops/Freezes – Fix
Details and links can be found at acite.info If you own a S10-3T you will notice that playback stops when you shake the system. This is a very annoying issue, however there’s a fix. First let me explain what APS does. Active Protection System stops the hard drive when it senses vibration on your system. If you disable it then you would have smooth playback, but APS protects your hard drive from accidental damage. So if you don’t want to disable or uninstall APS what should you do? You can do one of the following: 1. Install a Solid State Drive 2. Use a USB Thumb Drive 3. Use a SD Card All of these options don’t have a spinning disk that will cause playback issues. The SSD option is the most expensive, the thumb drive option is good but then you have a stick pocking out of your S10-3T. What’s the best option? The option I prefer is the SD Card way. Your S10-3T comes with an SD Card slot, therefore when you add your SD card it won’t stick out and it works well for most videos. SD Cards are also very inexpensive. Once you have one of these alternatives on your system then playback will be very smooth and continuous. I hope this tip helps!
